After breakfast at the hotel, our Merzouga 4x4 excursion begins. We'll explore various interesting sites around Erg Chebbi dunes. Our journey includes visits to Hassi Labeled oasis, the seasonal Sriji lake, and Khamlia village, where you can enjoy the captivating Gnawa music. We'll also visit Mifis mines, known for its minerals and fossils. During the tour, we'll have the chance to meet a nomad Berber family living in the Sahara and learn about their way of life. After lunch, we'll head back to the village and begin a camel trek to our Berber Camp in Merzouga. The camel ride offers beautiful sunset views, and at the camp, you'll be welcomed with tea and enjoy traditional Berber drumming music under the starry sky before sleeping in a nomadic tent.
On day 3, we recommend waking up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise atop a dune in the Sahara Desert near the camp. After breakfast and a shower at the camp, you can either ride the camel back to the starting point or opt for a 4WD transfer. Next, we'll proceed to Rissani to visit its local weekly market (on Sundays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays). We'll continue to Erfoud, known for its annual festival of dates and fossils, where you have the option to visit a minerals factory. Passing through Aoufous village, we'll reach the picturesque Ziz Valley, where we'll make a stop to enjoy the scenic landscapes and capture memorable pictures.
