At 9:00 AM, a Pure Morocco driver will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech, and your adventure begins with a journey to the mesmerizing Agafay desert, located just 30 kilometers away. This unique desert is historically referred to as the Marrakchi Desert, and it’s home to an exquisite oasis called “La Pause,” nestled amidst the arid Agafay hills. Here, you’ll be treated to exceptional views of the vast Moroccan wilderness, with oued riverbeds running through the landscape.
La Pause is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a sense of freedom to indulge in various sports and activities within its vast open spaces. You can partake in a round of “Cross-Golf,” a fun and original way to experience golf in a cross-country setting. Additionally, you can enjoy mountain bike rides, horse or donkey rides, and even camel bivouac treks, among other exciting activities arranged at La Pause.
As the clock strikes 1:00 PM, it’s time for a delightful lunch. Savor a rocket salad freshly picked from the garden, seasoned with extra virgin olive oil pressed from La Pause’s own olive groves. Ecotourism enthusiasts will find La Pause an ideal starting point for their desert adventures. The ambiance is perfect for immersing yourself in nomadic romanticism, enhanced by strategically placed nomadic tents around La Pause. These tents offer a unique opportunity to sleep under the stars or enjoy a memorable dinner with friends while listening to the enchanting rhythms of local Gnawas musicians. It’s a truly magical way to appreciate the breathtaking beauty of the desert sky at night.
At 2:00 PM, your visit to La Pause comes to an end, and it’s time to head back to your hotel in Marrakech. You’ll carry with you unforgettable memories of the Agafay desert and the serene oasis of La Pause, where nature’s wonders and desert enchantment blend harmoniously.
